Mana does not believe in lying. She shows blind trust in the people who treats her nicely, and when she found out that Nue doesn’t trust people, she decided that she in turn would trust one thousand people for him.
She has a hard time getting angry, and even harder to hate people. She does not hold grudges, even to people who are exceptionally cruel to her. Even though she was so badly treated by the people in her village, and never had anyone that believed in her, she never stopped believing in the worth of the truth, and never stopped believing in people or their kindness. Because somewhere, there had to be someone that could be kind.
On the other hand, she was scared of them, and fears feeling the same pain as she lived through until Nue saved her, all over again. But it's not the people that she feared, it was the scarp words, the harsh voices, and the pain that they made her feel, both mentally and physically.
She’s not the brightest person and has trouble understanding complicated things and long/difficult words, she’s clumsy and she’s never been lucky, and she is often acting silly and stupid. But this almost always visible side of her is one that managed to make her way into the Nue’s heart as fast as she did. She likes making people laugh or smile, and sometimes she might be acting extra silly just to make her precious people (when she has them) laugh. Her childlike personality is like a budding flower, and she is still learning about just about anything. Unfortunately, she does not learn to distrust people who have tricked her over and over.
Sometimes she drag out on some of her words, sometimes in the middle of the sentences, sometimes at the end of them. She also pauses at a lot of unnecessary places without noticing that she does so. It happens that she repeats herself, saying the same things more than once.
She has no confidence in her appearance, because she, after everything was taken from her, never had access to a mirror, but most of all because she was repeatedly told that she had no worth. As honest as she always is, she always believes that people are telling her the truth. Thus, she believed that she was completely worthless and that she was no one that should exist. When she met Nue, however, and she was complimented by him, she started to think that maybe she is not completely without worth, and that even someone as useless as her could actually receive nice words.
But since she is such an honest, gullible person, she also believed Nue's words when he said that humans were nothing to trust, that they never would save her or anyone else except themselves, and this made her very sad, because she wanted so badly to be able to believe in people. It caused her to feel very lonely, until Nue lied and told her that there still were some people that could be trusted, probably, out there, and that she one day would be able to make friends. When she was told that there were people around, somewhere, that were honest like her, she got incredibly happy. She hopes that one day, Nue will be able to believe in people, just like she does. But until then, she will believe for him.
Debt: The being resurrected part is her debt, but she's trying her best to be able to go back to Nue.Suitability: She would have been tricked into it, no doubt. Without even realizing it, at that. She might not realize it ever, unless someone tells her, though. She is a hard worker though, and with the hope of seeing her precious Nue-san again, she would work hard and happily. First Person:
Mana thiiinks, that this is a fun way of talking. Because Mana is not used to talking to peopleeee, like this. There is no one screaming at Mana, eitheeer. The people Mana has talked to here are nice, too. Mana is happyyyy. It would be more fun here if Nue-san was here, thoooough. Mana misses him a lot.
Is there anyone that you miiiss? Mana misses Nue-san, because he's niiice. He was the first person who said nice things to Mana. He said Mana's hair is pretty. Usually everyone only says that Mana is useless, so that made Mana very happyyy. When Mana thinks of Nue-aaan, Mana becomes very happy. But Mana wonders if he is alriiight, last time Mana saw hiiim, he was very saaad.
So Mana wonders, does anyone has anyooone, that they miss a looot? Mana is a lot curiooous, aaah, but you don't have to tell Mana if you don't want too, Mana is just curious.
Third Person:
Mana is cheerfully, but carefully, so she won't bump int anyone and make them mad at her, bouncing around camp like an excited child that is experiencing its first spring. Which she basically is – except that she is basically an adult woman. While she has experienced the Japanese seasons, she is far from used to being able to go around freely, and now that she does not have to expect incredible pain for anything that she does, she can explore freely, look at flowers from both above and below, watch the animals from any angle that she can, and climb trees to get a wider look of the camp, this place she is supposed to live in. It's with wide eyes and a curious, immensely interested expression, that she explores every single inch of the camp.
All the while, she has Nue's words in her mind though. To be careful, to not trust everyone, to not leave the castle.... She had left the castle, and she had trusted, trusted that the villagers below had really wanted to become friends, that they wanted nothing malicious. She had been wrong, they had lied. But it was so hard to believe. To believe that all people were evil, that no one could be trusted. Because if not a single one of all humans in the world could be trusted, then Nue meant himself as well. And Mana trusted him, more than anyone, the only one she trusted completely. Because he had trusted her. He had saved her, he had been nice and he saved her. Saved her from all the pain, all the people who raised their voices so loud and viciously, words that tore at her worse than the whip lashes, burns and torture she received for crimes she never committed.
When she thinks about Nue, she suddenly stop right in her tracks, and she collapses on the ground with the flower she had so cheerfully been inspecting lightly caressing her nose as it waved in the wind. With a shivering sob, she clutch to the grass and murmur. “Nue-saaan, Mana wants to see youuuu...”
